Keeping things “simple” doesn’t mean cutting back on the romance, as Kerry and Dean’s Salish Lodge elopement proves. Even though they picked a magnificent location (I mean, have you seen that gorgeous terrain?!), these two Love-Muffins maintained a minimalist look that pulled everything together perfectly.
Kerry and Dean have a love like none other that I’ve captured before. When I first sat down with Kerry, I was instantly drawn to her bubbly personality. She had a smile that spread joy through out the entire coffee shop.
She told me the story of how Dean proposed; on their bus to the airport during a trip to Iceland. He wanted the perfect moment but it didn’t happen, and he refused to go home without an answer. On the bus, she said yes to the man of her dreams. Dean lights up Kerry’s life.
When I met them at Salish Lodge, Kerry would tear up (with joy) just looking at him. They choose Salish Lodge because of A. the beautiful waterfall (Snoqualmie Falls) and B. They are HUGE Twin Peaks fans. They wanted a wedding that was just them, a private moment to celebrate an important chapter in their lives.
What We Love: Um… Everything?
Yeah, everything. The simplicity of the ceremony coupled with grandeur of their location makes for elopement excellence! Plus, Kerry and Dean get major cool-points for being Twin Peaks fans, lol.
Tips: Scale Back!
Don’t be afraid to cut back even more when it comes to your elopement. A great rule of thumb is “only bring what you can carry.”
