I come from a family of scientists and doctors. My grandfather is an M.D., my father is a geologist, my brother is a cartographer, and my cousins are nurses and therapists. So, I studied Environmental Science in university but haven’t touched it since graduation.
Photography has been transformative for me, taking me out of a world I thought I should be in, and put me in a world I love to be in. For that reason, photography is very personal to me.
I have found my medium for creativity, expression, personal development, and structure for my life. It took me years to follow my dream of being a photographer which began in 2010, when I was teaching English in South Korea. For 2 ½ years I lived and traveled in Asia photographing my journeys from Korea to Burma to Bali. I shot my first wedding in 2013 and realized that I’m good at this. Today I work full time as a destination wedding photographer documenting things for clients and for myself.
I’ll photograph your family and friends simply existing together, because at the core of what I do I observer, document through still photographs. I don’t need to do much directing because all the important elements are already there, conveniently provided by you. You won’t be on my timeline while I create moments disjointed from that ever so carefully crafted day. The important moments
will all happen, without direction from me, and those are the moments you will feel, in your heart, in years to come when you look back on your wedding photography.
I’m not there to tell my story.
I’ll be telling yours.
