This is the fabulous rainy New York elopement of Amanda and Ryan. And this family proofs that a bit water can’t ruin their wedding day. As a matter of fact, just the opposite was true when Amanda and Ryan’s families and friends met in Central Park to witness their “I dos”.
There were only a couple days left to Christmas and the December was extremely mild so instead of snow we had to deal with rain. But not a single person was bothered by that. The kids played in the puddles and we had the park to ourselves.
The ceremony was beautiful and emotional. Lots of tears and hugs followed. We had an amazing time walking through the empty park that day, capturing photos in the rain. We stopped at Grand Central for some more photos before these two newlyweds joined their friends again.
What We Loved:
The rain (of course) and the ridiculously adorable flower girl!
If children are going to be in attendance, don’t be afraid to make them apart of the ceremony. Just remember that, like with big weddings, kids have a tendency to do their own thing. Keep an open mind and remember if the littlest wedding attendant spends the ceremony spinning in a circle, a sleep in mommy or daddy’s arm, or playing in puddle it’s okay!
