Sometimes all you need to make your big day extra special is clear day and the love of your life. That’s exactly what Sabrina and Brent got with their romantic elopement at Albemarle Inn in Asheville, North Carolina: a memorable ceremony, with all the love and laughs a couple can ask for!
During a night out with friends, Brent and I visited the same three locations. It was not until the third location did we meet after my friend recognized she new Brent. It didn’t take long to find out that we had similar interests for engineering, the outdoors, and running. Our first outing was racing up Crowders Mountain’s Linwood Trail. The months to follow involved many adventures from camping, backpacking, sprint triathlons, beach trips, and long weekends exploring Asheville. Three and a half years later, Brent and I were enjoying the view from Crowders Mountain when Brent proposed. We planned for a short engagement, but easily six months turned into almost two years due to busy work schedules and time conflicts from graduate school. Setting our minds to get married in the upcoming months, we discussed how to keep the ceremony small when inviting just immediate family accounted for almost 50 people. In order not to leave anyone out, we decided to leave everyone out and elope. Then considering where’s the best location that represented us, Asheville was the first to come to mind. While searching for elopement packages, I found the Albemarle Inn with the beautiful photos done by Meghan Rolfe. Then it was a matter of getting a license and setting a date. We drove to Asheville for our long weekend that became our wedding and honeymoon. After we returned, we announced to family and close friends via a photo captured from our wedding.
What We Love: The Simplicity
Because it’s just Sabrina and Brent, there is nothing to take away from them and their love. And that love is BEAUTIFUL!
