Wallace Falls State Park, Washington
Ever since we have known each other, Eric and I have always had the same views about how we wanted to get married. I think so many people have different priorities and can lose focus on what the day is really about. We didn’t want a big, elaborate wedding that cost tons of money and we also didn’t want the stress that comes along with those types of weddings.
That’s the main reason we decided to elope-so that we could make sure every single moment of our big day was spent on each other. Getting married outside was a very natural choice for us. Obviously lots of people get married in churches, but nature is our church so it just fit.
The day was absolutely perfect. Our two best friends were there as the two witnesses, and our fur baby(dog) was our flower girl. It was a simple, yet super meaningful ceremony that included some traditional vows along with our own personal touches.
It was a magical way to start our lives together as husband and wife and I wouldn’t have changed anything! The groom made the wooden ring box, and the bride made the ribbon for the hand tying ceremony.
