Central Park is one of New York City’s most popular elopement destinations for a reason: there are so many different and beautiful locations to tie the knot!
Many of the Central Park elopements that Simply Elope features are in popular places within the park, like the Ladies Pavilion, but that’s not the only drop-dead gorgeous location that the park has to offer! Gapstow Bridge is not only another stunning area in Central Park, but it’s where Emma and Luke became Mr. and Mrs.!
These two love bugs came the long way from Australia to get hitched in New York City. And what an amazing wedding day it was! Jackie officiated the ceremony and as you can see from the photos, there were one or two tears during the service. After their “I Dos” we just hung around Central Park and took wedding photos while walking down “The Mall and Literary Walk”. We stopped at the Bethesda Fountain and Terrace before heading to the West Side for a couple last street crossing shots.
What We Love: Long Sleeve Wedding Gowns
Even though Emma is getting married in a park in the middle of the day, her long sleeve, floor length, lace wedding gown brings so much style and elegance to an otherwise “casual” ceremony.
Tips: Don’t be afraid to look around!
Central Park is HUGE and there are all kinds of venues, perfect for different kinds of elopements! Just take some time to look around the park (whether online or in person, if you have the time) and find spot that is perfect for you.
